Every donation goes straight to the young people: chanters, reeds, music and materials, trips and performances.
What your support does
Money donated to Etive Pipers goes into the EP Fund, which I keep entirely separate from what families pay for lessons. It is spent on the young people and nothing else. So far that has meant practice chanters, reeds, teaching resources and materials for lessons, the annual Showcase, and getting pupils to trips and performances.
Where a family would struggle with block fees, the Fund pays those fees on their behalf, quietly and without anyone else knowing. No child has ever been turned away from Etive Pipers over money, and I intend to keep it that way. Every donation is receipted, so you always know your support arrived and what it went on.
The EP shop feeds the same pot — profit from every hoodie and polo goes into the Fund too.
What a donation buys.
Block fees pay for the teaching and the hall, and that is all they cover. Everything below comes out of the Fund.
A practice chanter for a pupil who does not own one, and the reeds that keep it playable. Nobody has to buy an instrument before they know whether they like it.
Sheet music, teaching resources and everything that gets printed, handed out and played from on a Thursday night.
Travel to competitions and performances, and the annual Showcase — the night every pupil in every group takes the stage.
A full block of lessons for a child whose family is having a hard year, which this year is £49. Paid quietly, without anyone else knowing.
