Shop terms & returns.
Sizing, postage, and what happens if something is wrong. Short, and in plain English.
The short version. UK postage is included in every price. Orders are posted within two weeks. Everything is embroidered to order, so I can't take back a garment you've simply changed your mind about — but if it's wrong, faulty, or doesn't fit, tell me and I will put it right.
Who you are buying from
Etive Pipers, run by Aaron McInnes, Oban, Argyll. Questions about an order: aaron@etivepipers.com.
Profit from the shop goes into the Etive Pipers Fund, a not-for-profit association that buys chanters, reeds and music, supports travel to events, and covers block fees for families who need help.
Prices and postage
- All prices are in pounds sterling and include UK postage — there is no delivery charge added at checkout.
- Members pay a reduced price and collect at lessons. Member prices need you to be logged in to the members area.
- Outside the UK, email me before ordering and I will work out the postage.
Payment
Payment is taken by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach this website. Nothing is charged until you complete the Stripe page, and your order is only confirmed once Stripe tells me it has been paid.
Delivery
Every item is embroidered to order, so allow up to two weeks from payment to posting. If something is going to take longer than that I will email you. Orders go by Royal Mail to the address you give at checkout. Members' orders are handed out at Thursday lessons instead of posted.
Sizing
Garments are Uneek, sized to the charts below. These are body measurements — measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape level. If you are between sizes, or buying for a child who is growing quickly, go up.

The EP shop stocks children's sizes 7–8, 9–10 and 11–12. Smaller sizes can be ordered — just ask.

The shop lists XS to XL. Anything larger can be ordered — email me and I will add it to the next run.
Returns, exchanges and cancellations
Because every garment is personalised with the Etive Pipers crest, the usual 14-day right to cancel a distance sale does not apply to it — that is the exemption for made-to-order goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. In practice, though:
- Changed your mind before it's made? Email me within 24 hours of ordering and I will cancel and refund in full.
- Wrong size? Tell me within 14 days of delivery, send it back unworn and with tags on, and I will exchange it. You cover the return postage; I cover sending the new one.
- Faulty, damaged or not what you ordered? That is on me. Tell me within 30 days and you get a replacement or a full refund including postage, whichever you prefer. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything on this page.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within five working days of the item reaching me.
If something goes wrong
Email aaron@etivepipers.com. I read everything and I would much rather fix a problem than have someone quietly annoyed about a hoodie.
